Today is the last day to participate in QCDC's #9DaysOfAction for Black History Month. Here is a summary + a few more choices:


1. The deadline has passed to help Epsilon Pi Omega's Scholarship program but please visit their website (See Feb 12)


2. The Zoom discussion about Racial Literacy has passed but please visit Professor Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz's website (See Feb 13)


3. Send a letter to your 3 Members of Congress about passing the new Voting Rights Act H.R.1/S.1 or make a donation to the United Negro College Fund Scholarship program for HBCU's (See Feb 14)


4. Continue supporting Stacey Abrams by helping organizations that flipped Georgia (See Feb 15)


5. Help the Caribbean Equality Project to cultivate a supportive and progressive Caribbean community in Queens (See Feb 16)


6. The Zoom discussion with Heather McGhee and Adam Server about Racism's Hidden Costs has passed but you can still check out the book The Sum of Us from the New York Public Library (See Feb 18)


7. The Zoom discussion with Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, U.S. Rep Ayanna Pressley, Black Voters Matter co-founder LaTosha Brown, and Political Commentator Tara Setmayer about Black Women & the Ballot has passed, but you can still subscribe to the 19th's events (See Feb 19)


8. The Zoom discussion with U.S. Rep Grace Meng and our local chapter of the NAACP has passed, but you can sign up for Rep Meng's newsletter for future events (See Feb 26)

1. Read President Joe Biden's Proclamation on National Black History Month, 2021.


Learn the names and backgrounds of his new Cabinet members. Never forget that elections have consequences.

2. Help the Queens Alumnae Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. to meet their fundraising or community service goals with Project Cherish or DREF.


Project Cherish supports the preservation and beautification of African American landmarks, monuments, and historic sites. The Queens Alumnae Chapter is a proud sponsor of the Lewis H.
